Millennium Dance Complex Denver (“MDCD”) is entering its 5th competition season during 2019 / 2020.  MDCD’s success is the direct result of the high level training provided by the MDCD faculty and the hard work put in by each student.  MDCD is successful at competitions, but these can be highly subjective.  Besides performance at competitions, MDCD also structures its program to concentrate on student growth in technique, ability and choreography retention.  The 2019/2020 teams include: Mini, Junior, Junior ELITE, Teen, Senior, MDCD ELITE and the Junior and Teen / Sr. hip hop track.

MDCD training focuses on a strong technical training to help enhance industry dance styles (contemporary, hip hop, jazz and jazz funk). MDCD has hired a ballet director and expanded the ballet program for the 2019-2020 season, and offers pointe, pre-pointe, and the new MDCD Elite Company (4.5 Hours of ballet training per week, 2 hours contemporary and opportunities to student choreograph).  At MDCD, our student’s success is only possible because of the high level of technique training we offer, which cultivates growth in all industry dance styles, including hip hop.

MDCD also offers a hip hop training and performance track, which will include training and performance opportunities for hop hop and jazz funk styles only.  This is a perfect program for students interested in hop hop, and/or have limited studio training availability.  We require at least one ballet class for these students, but this is for growth, strength, and injury prevention.  Please e-mail for more information.

MDCD is very excited to announce that Hamilton Evans will be mentoring the competition team during the 2019/2020 dance season.  Hamilton brings 6 years of professional dance experience in Los Angeles, and currently teaches weekly at Millennium Dance Complex Los Angeles, Playground and judges and teaches for ADE dance convention.  He will be providing dance and performance feedback, doing private team training, team face time sessions, working with the groups to prepare them for the dance season, and choreographing for the MDCD Company.  MDCD Elite will have extra personal training opportunities with Hamilton throughout the year.
